Personal Trainer in Bentonville

Functional Personal Training for Physical Sovereignty

Stop scrolling and start building. Look around you: posture is collapsing, metabolic health is cratering, and we have normalized being fragile, medicated, and tired. We've traded our health for convenience—sitting in boxes, binding our feet in cushioned shoes, and outsourcing our vitality to a broken system. It’s a slow march toward physical decay, and it is not how we were meant to live.

As a specialized personal trainer in Bentonville, AR, I help high-performing professionals, local athletes, and everyday people reclaim their biology and build true physical sovereignty. We don’t work out in climate-controlled boxes—we utilize the raw terrain of Bentonville—places like Memorial Park, Old Tiger Track and Coler Preserve to build a body that performs as well as it looks, anchored in the heart of the Ozarks.

I am 48 years old: a husband, a father, and a dedicated student of human capability. I've lived in 9 states, visited 20 countries, and recently returned from a year in Mexico to live permanently in Bentonville. Through all those miles (and 30+ years of daily training), I’ve learned that true training isn’t a hobby—it’s the price of admission for a life lived without boundaries.

I am not a drill sergeant; I’m a standard bearer. I intentionally move in the opposite direction of the modern norm—away from chronic fragility, away from the mindless digital hustle, and toward true physical sovereignty. I don't pump iron; I master gravity. I train to carry the load—physically and metaphorically—for my family, building functional strength so I can remain useful (and slightly dangerous) for the rest of my life.

My Approach to Training

We are losing our humanity to credentialism and digital abstraction. The modern fitness industry has traded real-world capability for paper certifications, gadgets, and digital hype that pull us away from physical reality. I reject the distractions. Movement is a biological requirement that requires zero degrees and no biometric quantification. My philosophy is simple—if you are human, you need to move. If you are older, you need to move more. If you are injured, you need to move most.

TRAINING FOR ADULTS

It is my job to help you remember that you are very much a sovereign entity capable of anything. In order to accomplish this, I need to push your boundaries beyond what is comfortable:

  • We master gravity (and the elements) using static holds, walking, and groundwork.

  • We force the mind back into the body with epic tests of strength:

  • How long can you hang from a bar until your grip fails? 1 minute? 2 minutes? How about 3?

  • How long can you walk in the midday sun? 5 miles? 10 miles? How about 20?

  • We build a body that is grounded enough to be dangerous, but vital enough to be free.

TRAINING FOR KIDS

The contemporary child is in crisis: medicated, hyper-specialized, and addicted to tech. It’s my mission to push back against these trends and help the next generation get healthy again:

  • We get kids outside, moving their bodies in the sun, both testing their limits and making it fun.

  • We audit their phone usage and offer them viable alternatives to the digital slog.

  • We teach them variable exercise to reverse the damage of early sports specialization.

  • We introduce creative play, restoring analog fun—games like kick-the-can and capture-the-flag.

  • If they are boys, we give them the framework to mature into capable and responsible men.

FAQs

  • We utilize the natural terrain of Bentonville—places like Memorial Park and Coler Preserve—to move in the fresh air and sunshine. However, when the weather is bad, I have a great indoor space we can use.

  • The hourly rate is $60. You can also choose 10 sessions for $500 (and save $100). All clients get a free, 30-minute assessment.

  • I have 5 years of experience training a wide range of clients, from champion athletes to individuals navigating Stage 4 Parkinson’s. I don’t believe in certifications. I believe in experience and results.

  • Anyone can work out like a maniac until they “look good,” but it’s a very different thing to make “training“ your life—from how you walk and talk to even how you perform mundane tasks. This is an evolution, if not a revolution.

The Evidence

I was not in good shape. I said I was “too old” to get back into shape, but Mark got me moving again. And then he really got me moving. Now we go on 7 mile loops, walking up Santo Domingo with those epic sunset views of San Miguel, and I can’t imagine going back to my old life.

There is exercise, and then there’s getting into great shape mentally, spiritually AND physically. Working out doesn’t have to mean giving away all your energy to entropy. Mark taught me what true training is and for that I will always be very grateful!
